Rachael Taylor says love wasn't a real drama

THEY may be one of Australia's highest-profile celebrity couples but, to Rachael Taylor and Josh Lawson, meeting and falling in love was simple and to the point.

Taylor, 27, and Lawson, 30, met in 2010 on the set of Australian movie Any Questions For Ben?, which premieres at Village Crown tonight.

Taylor said that, despite both being movie stars, their relationship and how they met was normal.

"It's not quite the epic romantic tale it seems," she said yesterday.

"People always meet each other at work.

"Doctors date doctors, actors date actors. We share similar interests and it's all about how you connect with people."

The couple are based in Los Angeles but spend lots of time apart because of work.

"We're hoping when this all calms down we'll get some time to ourselves," Lawson said.

They will walk the red carpet at the premiere and after-party at Crown Metropol's 28, spruiking a film that means a lot to them.

"Of course, it makes it all the more special," Lawson said of filming with and meeting Taylor.

Any Questions for Ben? is the first film in 10 years from Working Dog, the group behind the smash hits The Castle and The Dish. It opens nationally on Thursday.
