KARL Stefanovic dropped and gave Today Show viewers 25 this morning, before writhing around the set and turning what could have been simply an "athletic performance" into a "strip show".
The breakfast show host was out to prove he could match Michelle Obama after America’s first lady entered into a push-up contest with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show yesterday.
Stefanovic had earlier challenged co-hosts Lisa Wilkinson and Georgie Gardiner to the feat and when they declined opted to pump the moves himself.
"Does my bum look big in these mike packs?" he said, proudly bearing his behind for the camera before dropping to the floor.
The 37-year-old then completed the stunt with aplomb, including a one-legged push-up, a push-up with a clap and a side plank push-up before twisting and writhing around the set to finish off.
"See, this is what it takes," co-host Ben Fordham said. "What we're seeing right here is a can-do man. Showing the girls how it's done.
"Go you good thing - it’s turned into a strip show," he added after Stefanovic thrust his pelvis and spread his legs for the camera.
But it all came back to bite him as the show cut to a break with the fitness fanatic wincing and complaining: "I've got a cramp".
